The Investigations Major Crimes Unit is responsible for investigating crimes such as robberies, kidnappings, serious assaults, certain incidents of domestic violence, homicides, cold case homicides, suicides, felony check frauds, some property crimes and some high profile misdemeanor cases. Sex assaults on both adults and children make up a significant amount of their work load. The Investigations Unit will assist the patrol and detention divisions with less serious cases, crime scene investigation or reconstruction, and lend guidance and support as needed.
The investigations unit is staffed by 5 personnel.
