7 Year Program Plan of Improvements

Ballot issue 1B will yield $675,000 in year one for county road and bridge use. The balance of $175,000 from the $850,000 tax must be distributed annually amongst the municipalities for street improvements as required by state law.

The list shows projects prioritized according to existing road conditions, traffic and costs. Inflation and emergency repairs required due to flooding or other damage could influence the estimated start and completion of this priority list over the seven year period.

Each year of project work at the Tallahassee Shop also calls for making 10,000 to 20,000 tons of gravel from several pits in the area for maintenance of various other roads throughout the northwest district of Fremont County.

CENTRAL MAINTENANCE SHOP

The seven year plan includes upgrades in Fremont County maintenance equipment. Depending on money available and prices of equipment, the plan calls for upgrade in road graders each year plus periodic upgrades of plow trucks, loaders, tractor trucks and other miscellaneous heavy equipment. In many cases, the equipment would be secured through five year lease/purchase agreements.
