Tourism Council Funding Application
The Fremont County Tourism Council (FCTC) serves as the region's statutory destination marketing organization (DMO). The FCTC is charged with investing revenue collected through a 2% Lodging Tax to promote and market the region as a destination for tourism, outdoor recreation and leisure travel. Because lodging tax is collected by area hotels, motels, campgrounds and other lodging facilities, a primary objective of the FCTC and this program is to increase paid, overnight lodging. Here is the official application for 2017 funding.

Fremont County has experienced extremely dry conditions this year. As a result, our gravel road maintenance has suffered. Roadways do not hold up as well as they should during dry conditions, coupled with traveling speeds, these factors contribute to roadway failure. Fremont County road crews are working as fast as conditions allow to try to keep up with a grading schedule. We are limited with the miles of roadway that can be graded per day, and the amount of water that can be transported. Fremont County Department of Transportation maintains 358 miles of gravel roads throughout the county, and we are asking for the patience and cooperation of all citizens as crews work to repair damage to the roadways. As always, safety is our first priority, so please slow down when traveling through work zones. Signs will be posted as we work our way around the county. We are committed to serving our citizens and maintaining our roadways as best we can!
