Permit Application Procedures
Effective January 1, 2003
PERMITS CANNOT BE ISSUED WITHOUT THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION AND MATERIAL BEING PROVIDED BY THE APPLICANT
- Soil profile (evaluation provided by a registered professional engineer at least 8 feet deep).
- Septic tank size determined by a registered professional engineer.
- Percolation rate determined by a registered professional engineer.
- Determination of registered professional engineer as to suitability of the site for an absorptive wastewater system.
- Plot plan indicating percolation sites, core hole site and all pertinent features (ditches, gullies, building, etc.).
- Flood plain information for specific site. Specific construction criteria as designed by a registered professional engineer if site in flood plain.
- Specific construction techniques designed by a registered professional engineer if soil conditions dictate special construction.
- Engineer must inspect and certify to Fremont County any engineer designed system installation (mound, soil replacement, etc.) prior to county inspection being conducted and called for.
- Lot size.
- Source and type of water.
- Legal description of property.
- Address of property.
- Detailed map of property depicting driving route from highway 50 with street names and distances if applicable.
- Owner of property.
- Owner's mailing address and telephone number.
- Type of building by use.
- Plat date.
- Slope of the ground at proposed leach bed site.
- Address must be posted on property visible from a public roadway at time inspection is called for.
- Fremont County use tax must be paid at time of application (1.5%).
- Homeowner will be responsible for all above requirements.
- Homeowner will be the only person notified by Fremont County regarding any system installation.
