Permit Application Procedures
Effective January 1, 2003
PERMITS CANNOT BE ISSUED WITHOUT THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION AND MATERIAL BEING PROVIDED BY THE APPLICANT

  1. Soil profile (evaluation provided by a registered professional engineer at least 8 feet deep).
  2. Septic tank size determined by a registered professional engineer.
  3. Percolation rate determined by a registered professional engineer.
  4. Determination of registered professional engineer as to suitability of the site for an absorptive wastewater system.
  5. Plot plan indicating percolation sites, core hole site and all pertinent features (ditches, gullies, building, etc.).
  6. Flood plain information for specific site. Specific construction criteria as designed by a registered professional engineer if site in flood plain.
  7. Specific construction techniques designed by a registered professional engineer if soil conditions dictate special construction.
  8. Engineer must inspect and certify to Fremont County any engineer designed system installation (mound, soil replacement, etc.) prior to county inspection being conducted and called for.
  9. Lot size.
  10. Source and type of water.
  11. Legal description of property.
  12. Address of property.
  13. Detailed map of property depicting driving route from highway 50 with street names and distances if applicable.
  14. Owner of property.
  15. Owner's mailing address and telephone number.
  16. Type of building by use.
  17. Plat date.
  18. Slope of the ground at proposed leach bed site.
  19. Address must be posted on property visible from a public roadway at time inspection is called for.
  20. Fremont County use tax must be paid at time of application (1.5%).
  21. Homeowner will be responsible for all above requirements.
  22. Homeowner will be the only person notified by Fremont County regarding any system installation.
